About me
Home for me is a little valley tucked in the mountains of Utah with my husband, our two children, and our goldendoodle Molly. I truly live with one foot in reality and one foot in fantasy. Living my life to the fullest while also dreaming of fantasy worlds and swoony love stories.
I’ve been creating stories in my mind for as long as I can remember. And I’ve been writing them since I was about 7. A defining moment for my writing was my freshman year of high school, we did a creative writing section in my English class, and my teacher read my piece in front of the whole class. I realized I was good at this, and more importantly, I LOVED it.
My young adult years I took a side quest and became a registered nurse (I haven’t worked in a hospital in a long time, so please, no one ask me to start an IV unless you’re willing to be the test subject to see if starting an IV is like riding a bike). But my heart always stayed with creative writing and fantasy. I started writing again as a way to rediscover myself while in the beautiful and yet challenging time of motherhood. And like a phoenix, I was reborn. That childhood dream of becoming an author turning into a reality.
I write Radiant Romantasy because I love fantasy, I love romance, and I love stories of good versus evil, light against darkness- stories where love conquers all. Because I have seen in my life how love defeats darkness. Love from my husband, my children, my family, my friends, and most importantly my God.
Obviously, my favorite thing to do is write ... but when I’m not writing I love high adventure. Mountain biking, skiing, canyoneering, paddleboarding, white water rafting, hiking, camping, and traveling. It’s really fun to pretend I’m riding a phoenix flying through the forest when I’m on my mountain bike, or to rappel a 165 ft free rappel like I’m escaping the tallest tower of the Dragon King’s castle, and to explore the world like I’m a ranger on a quest.
While I love adventure, I also loving being cozy at home. Rainy days, hot chocolate, reading, watching movies, crocheting, puzzles, taking naps, and playing games.
